I was a selected artist for this really cool event in Houston next weekend where there is an opportunity for one of my pieces to be bought by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and added to their permanent collection! Below, the official invite.
Also psyched that they used my image for the press release!
Delighted to receive this little gem in the mail the other day. Jonathan Cherry really does seem to get it. This nifty printed piece is successfully part magazine, part portfolio, part marketing material.

I got an underwater casing for my camera to play around with this summer. Here’s some of my first attempts. In the ocean, its actually a lot harder that you’d imagine, having to battle the oncoming waves constantly and dealing with a slight delay in the shutter as well as water droplets on the lens. I will have to try it in a pool next.

I really enjoyed hearing about Adam Amengual’s work and career over at Heather Mortons blog. I have been following her Year in the Life series in which she follows two emerging photographers, Jamie Hogge and Grant Harder, making their way up in the field. It was refreshing this morning to hear about one more photographer she has kept her eye on. One question, when will hear about some females?

Incredible photo essay in today’s New York Times by Belgian-born photographer Jessica Hilltout. Jessica traveled across Africa for seven months to capture the continent’s love of soccer pre-world cup 2010.
