Oh the joys of living in New York

Last Saturday I managed to swing by Chelsea amidst all the holiday frenzy and go to Project 5’s Second Artist’s Salon at the Foley Gallery. The talk focused on photographer’s shooting their families and made me realize that this is definitely a direction I want to head toward with my personal work. Artists featured were

Then, last night I hit up the Museum of the City of New York to hear the Queen Bee herself, Kathy Ryan, moderate a talk on photojournalism today between power players Damon Winter and Lynsey Addario.
Damon is recently most well known for his Pulitzer Prize winning story of the Obama campaign
And Lynsey, also a Pulitzer Prize winner, just won the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship.
Honestly, I can’t image living anywhere else right now.
