Gabriela Herman is a Brooklyn-based editorial and commercial photographer known for her vibrant, intimate imagery across travel, food, lifestyle, and portraiture. She brings a fresh energy and thoughtful eye to projects around the globe, blending personal connection with visual storytelling.
Her personal work has appeared in The New York Times, The Guardian, Wired, The Atlantic, and more, and has been exhibited internationally. Her first book, The Kids (New Press), explored the lives of children with LGBTQ+ parents and was widely recognized for its depth and impact.
Gabriela is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and French, and holds dual citizenship with the U.S. and Brazil—global roots that inform both her perspective and her practice. She lives in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, with her husband and two children.
